No more “Sitting, Waiting, Wishing” necessary.

Jack Johnson just announced he’s officially returning to the road — other than a few one-off appearances — for the first time since 2022-23’s ‘Meet The Moonlight Tour.’

This time around, the two-time Grammy nominee will perform 43 ‘Surfilmusic Tour’ concerts at theaters, arts centers, pavilions, parks and bowls all over North America from June through October with special guests Hermanos Gutiérrez, Lake Street Dive and G. Love joining him on select dates.

While out and about, the “Better Together” singer is slated to four New York and New Jersey stops.

First up, Johnson swings into Holmdel, NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center on Sunday, June 21.

After that, he’ll hit Saratoga Springs’ Saratoga Springs Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, June 24, Long Island’s Jones Beach Theater on Sunday, June 28 and Canandaigua’s CMAC on Wednesday, July 1.

The tour comes in support of the 50-year-old’s forthcoming documentary “SURFILMUSIC,” which shares a name with the tour. A press release states that the motion picture charts Johnson’s “evolution from surfer to filmmaker to world-renowned musician,” with behind-the-scenes footage from his “The September Sessions” and “Thicker Than Water” surf films.

In tandem with the film and tour announcement, Johnson also just dropped the mellow yet groovy single “Hold On To The Light,” which will allegedly be part of “SURFILMUSIC’s” soundtrack.

As for what to expect on this upcoming run of shows, we can’t say for certain but at his 2023 ‘Meet The Moonlight’ concerts, the laid-back singer-songwriter typically performed anywhere from 17 to 25 songs per show according to Set List FM.

Notable tracks that often made the cut included “Better Together,” “Upside Down,” “Banana Pancakes,” “Good People,” and, of course, “Sitting, Waiting Wishing.”

“If playing the guitar and singing was an Olympic sport – Jack Johnson in my opinion would be a gold medallist,” The Rock Pit noted in a review of one of the California native’s December 2022 gigs in Australia.

On Nov. 7, Jack Johnson dropped the single “Hold On To The Light” with Hermanos Gutiérrez.

The first thing one notices when listening to the song — which will be featured on the soundtrack for “SURFILMUSIC” — is that the sound is a bit more psychedelic than Johnson’s typical, buoyant, twangy guitar picking. However, his soothing voice is just as relaxed as ever and the way the folk vet delivers the indelible chorus “hold on to the light” with a calm reserve feels more like a warm blanket wrapped around your soul than a mere tune. We can’t wait to blast this one at bonfires for years.
