Theo Rossi isn’t sure if he wants his son to follow him into the industry.
Speaking with PEOPLE at the Clarins x V Magazine Golden Hour event during F1 Weekend in October, the actor, 50, gave an update on his 8-year-old son Arlo. Rossi shares Arlo and his other son Kane, 10, with wife Meghan McDermott.
“He just won a big soccer game about an hour ago, and yeah, he’s definitely become one of the greatest artists,” Rossi said of his son, who he previously shared with PEOPLE loves special effects makeup.
“I had always been an artist growing up, drawing comic books and all, but this kid, for 8 years old, he’s one of the most extraordinary artists,” he continued. “And I’m not saying it because it’s my kid. If he was anybody’s kid here, I’d say it.”

As for whether Arlo will join him in the film industry, Rossi said he’s not quite sure yet.
“I don’t know. Maybe, we’ll see. Maybe,” he clarified. “We’ll see what the film industry looks like in 10 years.”
Last October, Rossi spoke with PEOPLE and shared that his son Arlo takes Halloween extremely seriously.
As far as holidays in the Rossi household, “Christmas is still number one, but to my youngest son, Arlo, Halloween’s number one,” he explained to PEOPLE. “My 7-year-old treats Halloween like Christmas.”

The dad of two continued, “He wears different costumes. He does multiple changes. He’s really big into special effects, and he’s 7. He has all these [fake] scars. He does these fake tattoos.”
To help his little one improve at special effects makeup, “I’ve had him sit down with special effects makeup artists and he loves doing it,” Rossi said. “He’s a makeup artist in the making.”
“So we make Halloween a big deal,” he added, sharing that this October, “We’re supposed to be away in Savannah, [Georgia], which is a great place to celebrate Halloween, apparently.”
