Sadie Sink is sticking to her natural hair color.
In a Glamour cover story published on Tuesday, Nov. 25, the Stranger Things actress, 23, revealed that she’s never dyed her signature red locks and probably never will.
“I’ve thought about it, but I’ve never dyed my hair,” Sink told the outlet.
The star continued, “Anyone who has red hair knows the ups and downs of your relationship with it. Sometimes you’re like, ‘Yes, I love my hair. It’s the best thing ever.’ And then sometimes you’re like, ‘Oh my God, I hate it. I just want to change it.’”
“But no matter where you stand, what you hear your entire life as a redhead is to never dye your hair,” Sink added. “So I never have, and I don’t think I will. I like the idea that my hair isn’t dyed.”
The actress, who was nominated for a Tony Award for her role in the hit play John Proctor Is the Villain this year, said she shares a similar sentiment when it comes to other body modifications.
“I don’t have any piercings or tattoos or anything … I like the idea of never doing anything,” she explained.

Sink also reflected on the pressure to look a certain way as an actress.
“Nowadays it’s hard to ignore how much people change looks and fashion, and all of that has blended into actors and the entertainment industry,” she told Glamour. “Growing up in that, and actively being a part of that, is a little bit confusing sometimes because it’s like, ‘Wait, what? Are we all supposed to look like this? Is this what everyone wants us to look like?’ I don’t want to do that.”
The star recently made a surprise appearance onstage with Lorde as she performed “Green Light” at her concert at London’s 02 Arena.
In TikTok footage of the moment captured by PopBase, the duo can be seen jumping on stage, holding hands and singing the lyrics to the hit from Lorde’s 2017 album Melodrama.
The hit song from Lorde’s 2017 album Melodrama was prominently featured in John Proctor Is the Villain, in which Sink played defiant teenager Shelby Holcomb.
In June, Sink spoke to Vogue about how powerful the use of “Green Light” was in the play.
“Oh my God, I’m a huge Lorde fan. I’m so excited for the new album,” she said at the time. “Solar Power was such an important album for me. To follow an artist through her many different eras…she really was that person for me.”

In July, Lorde attended a performance of the Broadway play, per an Instagram post shared by the show’s playwright Kimberly Belflower.
“To share this play with her, to watch her hands dance in the air while her music blasts through the Booth Theatre, to look her in the eye and (attempt to) tell her what she means to me, to see her take such care with everyone who made this production, to hug her, to watch her stage door (!!!?!??) was maybe the most surreal and beautiful night in this entire surreal and beautiful journey. I will never ever ever forget it or get over it,” Bellflower captioned the post.
