Fans of both brands gushed over the new collectibles in the comment section, already claiming their faves (“These are so cute! I want the Mickey one”), predicting which toys will be difficult to find with a wink and nudge (“To get lightning McQueen is going to be a challenge!🏎️”) and saddened by who wasn’t included (“y’all got cinderella’s castle but not cinderella herself? i’ll remember this”).
One fan asked, “How does one get lilo and stitch,” which are not pictured in the images, to which the brand jokingly responded, “Through love and determination.”
Disneyland Resort, officially opening its doors July 17, 1955, has been celebrating the anniversary all summer long, kicking off a year of celebrations and surprises back in May, through 2026 with new commemorative dishes, beverages and desserts from a wide variety of eateries.
For instance, according to the official Disney food blog, park-goers can taste the 70th Celebration Churros – rolled in ube sugar and topped with blue raspberry icing drizzle and sprinkles – the churro stands near Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Haunted Mansion, and Town Square. There’s also the 70th Celebration Macaron, a fluffy yellow sponge cake topped with vanilla bean buttercream, strawberry jam, a whipped strawberry topping and strawberry crunch.
