Khloé Kardashian Talks Daughter True Experimenting with Beauty (Exclusive)

Khloé Kardashian’s daughter, True Thompson, is beginning to find her stride in beauty.

The daughter of the reality TV star and fragrance creator, 7, is beginning to “experiment” in the space, but only with things that are “age-appropriate,” Khloé tells PEOPLE.

“What I really love about True is she’ll play with makeup, but she doesn’t do things that are too crazy,” says Khloé, 41. 

For instance, True is into short press-on nails, the “Khloé in Wonder Land” podcast host says. “She’s not wearing nails the length of mine — I wouldn’t allow that — but she likes age-appropriate things,” Khloé explains.

When it comes to makeup, Khloé says True is a fan of blush, so much so that she occasionally goes overboard. 

“I’m trying to teach her how to not have blush blindness, because it’s a real thing,” she laughs, adding, “I love to let [True and brother Tatum, 3, whom she shares with her ex Tristan Thompson] be creative and play.”

Khloé adds that True is also taking an interest in caring for her skin.

“She got sent skin care from this girl named Salish Matter, who has a line for teenagers at Sephora. It’s all great stuff that I would want her using,” Khloé says of the brand Sincerely Yours, which Salish, 15, co-founded with her father, Jordan, in July 2025.

Of her go-to in the Gen Alpha-focused brand, which the father-daughter duo developed with dermatologists, Khloé says, “True loves to wash her face then use the moisturizer. And I love that she’s learning about how to take care of her skin and self-care.”

True is also a fan of Khloé’s debut solo fragrance.

When the beauty entrepreneur launched XO Khloé in 2024, she told PEOPLE it already had her daughter’s stamp of approval.

“When I got the real bottle, I showed my daughter and I was like, ‘Look, Mommy has a fragrance,” and she was like, ‘Can I have it?’ and I said, ‘Sure,’” Khloé shared at the time, adding, “when she’s smelling it, she’s like, ‘This smells just like you.’ It just makes me so proud that she is so proud and that she identifies that as me.”

Nearly one year later, Khloé introduced her second fragrance, Almost Always. Like with XO Khloé, it features lavender, but in Almost Always, it’s a major player.

“Lavender is so comforting, so grounding,” Khloé previously shared with PEOPLE. “The scent transports me to my childhood. I remember the essence of lavender being around a lot and I just love that comforting, safe feeling that I felt. It’s interesting how isolated scents really can take you back to different moments in time.”

The scent also has a special tie to her children. 

“I spray their beds with a lavender essential oil spray and it relaxes them and puts them to sleep really easily,” she shared.
