New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: Stranger Things, The Beatles Anthology, Sidelined 2: Intercepted
It’s been three years since the last season of Stranger Things, so if all you remember about that season is that Kate Bush could write a bop, you’d be forgiven. The show, starring Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfahrd, David Harbour, WInona Ryder, and many others, is back on Netflix with season 5 this week. Also out this week is the remastered and updated Beatles Anthology, streaming now on Disney+, and the Tubi original Sidelined 2: Intercepted, a sequel to last year’s surprise holiday hit.
New on Netflix November 26: Stranger Things (Season 5)
The fifth and final season of Stranger Things is finally here! The newest four episodes dropped on Netflix on Wednesday (with four more to come around Christmas and New Year’s Eve) and pick up in 1987 as our heroes trying to find and kill Vecna before their beloved town of Hawkins, Indiana is destroyed, and before the military can get their hands on Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown).
I’m old enough to have watched The Beatles Anthology on TV when it first aired in November 1995, and now, 30 years later, the documentary series about John, Paul, George and Ringo has been remastered and re-released this week on Disney+. The three-day event began on Wednesday with three episodes dropping daily through Friday (including a brand-new, previously unreleased episode).
Last year’s Sidelined: The QB and Me was a pretty big hit on Tubi, and this year, the film’s sequel, Sidelined 2: Intercepted is the continuation of the romance between football player Drayton Lahey and dancer/cheerleader Dallas Bryan (Noah Beck and Siena Agudong). Based on the novel by Tay Marley, the movie also co-stars James Van Der Beek, Charlie Gillespie and Roan Curtis.
