Jim Edmonds celebrates daughter Aspen’s birthday with Taylor Swift-themed party after Meghan King’s custody loss

Jim Edmonds celebrated his daughter Aspen’s birthday after Meghan King temporarily lost custody of their three kids.

The former baseball player took to Instagram on Sunday to give fans a glimpse inside the now-9-year-old’s Taylor Swift-themed celebration.

In the carousel of photos, he shared a family snap featuring his and King’s three kids — Aspen and twins Hart and Hayes, 7 — as well as his new wife, Kortnie Edmonds, and himself.

He also included several snaps from their family’s birthday celebration for Aspen, which included pink balloons, a birthday cake that included several nods to Swift and the singer’s fiancé, Travis Kelce, as well as her opening her presents.

Additionally, Jim included several videos of his twin boys playing with construction machinery.

As he posted glimpses of their family time, the 55-year-old captioned the post, “What a week! A lot to be Thankful for @kortnieoc.”

Despite limiting who can leave comments on his posts, Jim got praised by some of his followers who told him he was “doing a great job.”

“the kids look like they are having a magical childhood 🙌” one follower commented as another one said, “Their little faces light up the world. And they are safe. Happy Birthday little sweetpea 💕”

Meanwhile, a third said, “I just love how happy your children look! You can see in their eyes they are loved and safe!! ❤️”

However, a fourth commenter criticized King’s absence by writing, “I bet Aspen would have loved her mother there too.”

Despite not being present for her birthday, King paid tribute to her daughter via social media a week ago.

“My favorite female to ever walk the planet,” King wrote on her Instagram Stories. “The brightest light, my greatest joy.”

The “Real Housewives of Orange County” alum added, “A spectacular gift from God was born 9 years ago today. When I learned what love is. I love you Aspen King Edmonds. I love you to infinity. HAPPY BIRTHDAY.”

On Nov. 19, Page Six revealed that the former reality star, 41, temporarily lost custody of her three kids to Jim.

A source told us that King is allowed to have supervised visits with Hayes, Hart and Aspen twice a week.

The investigation was prompted because King allegedly gave one of their twins unprescribed medication — and asked the school nurse to do the same.

A source exclusively told Page Six that King allegedly gave her son Hayes Ritalin multiple times, even though he has not been diagnosed with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

After getting the call from CPS, we’re told Jim and Kortnie, who reside in Tennessee, immediately flew to Missouri.

We’re also told a temporary restraining order has been granted, and a more permanent solution will be determined at a court hearing scheduled for Dec. 9.

Following the incident, a source exclusively told Page Six that Aspen, Hayes and Hart would be spending the holiday with their dad and his wife at their home in Tennessee.

The Bravolebrity and Jim tied the knot in October 2014 before splitting five years later over a cheating scandal. Their divorce was finalized in 2021.
