Rob Reiner’s Son Nick Charges Revealed Following Alleged Murder of Parents

Nick Reiner, the son of Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, will be formally charged with the murders of his parents.
Nick will be charged with two counts of first-degree murder with a special allegation that used a knife, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said at a press conference.
Rob and Michelle were found dead in their Los Angeles home on Sunday, Dec. 14.
Sources who spoke to the family previously told PEOPLE that Rob and Michele were found by their daughter, Romy.
Several hours after his parents were killed, Nick was arrested in connection with the murders.
Nick is being held without bail at Los Angeles’ Men’s Central Jail, his attorney, Alan Jackson said. He was initially supposed to appear in court Tuesday, but Jackson said his client had not yet been medically cleared.
According to multiple sources, PEOPLE previously reported that Rob and Nick engaged in a “very loud argument” at a party hosted by Conan O’Brien the night before the killings.
“Nick was freaking everyone out, acting crazy, kept asking people if they were famous,” one of the sources said regarding the party.
On Sunday, the Los Angeles Fire Department said it was called to the Reiner home to provide aid at around 3:30 p.m.
Rob and Michele had been married since 1989 and had three children together: Jake, Romy and Nick. Rob also adopted Tracy, the daughter of his first wife, Penny Marshall.

Rob was the director of a host of iconic films including When Harry Met Sally…, This Is Spinal Tap, Stand By Me and A Few Good Men.
The couple met while Rob was directing When Harry Met Sally.
Nick had previously spoken openly about his struggles with addiction and co-wrote Being Charlie, a semi-autobiographical film based on his experiences directed by his father.
