Jenny McCarthy shows off weight loss after revealing yearlong medical crisis

Jenny McCarthy debuted her new slimmed-down figure after she revealed her yearlong medical crisis.

The former Playboy model, 53, put her trim figure on display in a red bikini as she posed alongside the “Boston Blue” star in their beach Barbie-themed Christmas card shoot.

Wahlberg looked especially sporty as he flaunted his abs in a pair of red swim trunks. The caption at the bottom of the photo read: “A Palm Springs Christmas Edition.”

Earlier this week, the actress told People that the weight loss could be attributed to the nine mouth surgeries she’s undergone over the year that kept her from eating hard foods.

“I had one infection that turned into another and another, and then I had these growths show up on my eyeballs,” she explained, adding, “My teeth were falling out, implants falling out.”

“I’ve been on antibiotics for a year, and have had to eat soft foods only.”

“As of now, I’m able to chew again, but every time we thought it had cleared up, it came back again, I’d be in massive pain with my jaw swelling up, and at the same time I was getting these growths popping up on my eyeballs,” she said.

“People should actually feel a little sorry for me!” she added.

As for her husband, the “Scream 3” actress told the outlet that her “secret” to capturing his muscled-up look was all about timing.

“The secret is we always shoot it when Donnie gets off of tour, so he’s been dancing around on stage for the whole three months for his Vegas residency and is in great shape,” she explained.

“I have to do the shoot in that window before he turns into that donut-loving cop on ‘Boston Blue,’” she continued, referencing Wahlbeg’s role as detective Danny Reagan on the procedural drama.

Elsewhere in her interview, McCarthy looked forward to the holidays as she shared this year’s festivities will be a “little tricky-wicky” in getting together due to their filming schedules.

While her husband is away shooting the cop drama, the model remains busy filming the “Masked Singer” in Los Angeles.

“So it’s been tricky and difficult, which means Thanksgiving and Christmas will mean more to us than ever this year. It’s just me and him, at home in Chicago, me cooking a bird, and enjoying each other,” she said.
