Kelly Stafford gives update with podcast on indefinite break

Kelly Stafford, the wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, has extended her break from “The Morning After” podcast after stepping away for her mental health in early October.
In a social media post on Wednesday, Kelly explained that she’s taking time to focus on her husband — who’s in the MVP conversation with the Rams surging at 9-2 — and their four daughters, twins Sawyer and Chandler, 8, Hunter, 7, and Tyler, 5.
“I feel this pull to get back to my roots, and to do that, I have to pour into the people I love most,” Kelly posted. “l’ve got a husband in the middle of one hell of a season, and I want to be fully locked in with him.
“I want to be present for my girls. I want to give my whole heart to the people who have always given theirs to me.”
Kelly, who did not share when exactly she will return, said, “This isn’t a goodbye.”
“It’s a ‘see ya later,’” she wrote. “Thank you for letting me grow, change, fall apart, rebuild, and evolve right alongside you. Thank you for loving me through all my versions.
“I’m excited for whatever the next chapter of TMA becomes someday.”
Kelly’s co-host, Hank Winchester, commented, “Love. Light. Splashes. Love you all.”
Last month, Kelly announced on the podcast that she was taking four weeks off to prioritize her family and consider the future of the show.
Winchester, an Emmy-winning Detroit television reporter, was not on that episode.

Her initial hiatus came as Winchester returned to the podcast after being cleared in a law enforcement investigation that stemmed from allegations he made unwanted sexual advances toward a man during a June massage.
Kelly started “The Morning After” podcast as a solo host in 2021, and later brought on Winchester.
