FBI seizes $13M Mercedes linked to fugitive Ryan Wedding

A rare $13 million Mercedes was seized by the FBI in Los Angeles last Monday in connection to Olympian-turned-fugitive drug kingpin Ryan Wedding.
The former Canadian Olympic snowboarder is on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list for allegedly moving 60 metric tons of cocaine from Colombia through Mexico and into the US every year.
The FBI posted photos of the 2002 Mercedes CLK-GTR Roadster, showing its sleek gray paint job and pristine condition.
The car is one of only six Roadsters ever produced, according to AutoBlog.
This is the latest development in the manhunt for Wedding and his associates as part of “Operation Giant Slalom.”
Wedding is accused of working with the Sinaloa Cartel and allegedly ordering the murder of an FBI witness in Colombia earlier this year to derail the investigation into his drug-trafficking empire, authorities say.
The FBI’s reward for his capture is now $15 million.
