Kim Kardashian finally got to use the name “Kimono.” And she did so without being accused of cultural appropriation.

The multi-hyphenate has been sharing behind-the-scenes wardrobe photos and designer details on TikTok and Instagram throughout the first season of her latest project, “All’s Fair,” on Hulu.

On Sunday night, Kardashian posted a slideshow of pics on Instagram in which she wears a pale pink silk kimono, trimmed in a rich chocolate brown.

The traditional wide sash at her waist, called an obi in Japanese, was embroidered with the rhinestone-studded initials, “AG,” for Kardashian’s “All’s Fair” character, attorney Allura Grant.

Wearing a pair of brown satin Giuseppe Zanotti Ludhhovica 105 heels, Kardashian added to the sparkle with a giant diamond necklace and earrings.

The carousel of images included her full glam team, some solo shots, and even a few with “All’s Fair” creator and executive producer, Ryan Murphy.

In addition, Kardashian shared some photos of the creation of the custom kimono, including a view inside the garment where “KIMono by Milligan” was hand-embroidered.

The designer behind the bespoke piece is multidisciplinary artist and stylist, Milligan Beaumont.

Long before Skims became a household name, Kardashian announced that her new shapewear line would be called “Kimono” — a play on her own name and the traditional Japanese T-shaped robe with wide sleeves.

Within two weeks, the cultural appropriation comments reached a fever pitch online. Eventually, the company was rechristened as Skims.

Today, Skims is a multi-billion-dollar global brand.

Kardashian’s devoted fans were quick to make the connection, commenting on her Instagram post with quips like “This time it’s appropriate,” and “To think Skims was almost called Kimono but I’m sure that went over everyone’s head … Genius.”

Here’s hoping Allura Grant doesn’t receive any objections.
