Jets finally delivering the hints of joy Aaron Glenn promised

There was finally Joy in Jetville when Nick Folk lined his 56-yard field goal at the very end for a 27-24 win over the Falcons, jubilation all around a gritty team that fought it out for all 60 minutes with a 36-year-old backup quarterback and a new weapon and a 41-year-old field goal kicker.
Aaron Glenn doesn’t yet have his franchise quarterback, and he didn’t have Garrett Wilson on Sunday, and replacements will be needed for Quinnen Williams and Sauce Gardner with all the draft capital GM Darren Mougey will have at his disposal.
But the Jets were a tough and a mentally tough outfit, a true team, and after all the growing pains from the coach and from the players in the midst of this rebuild, Glenn could start to envision a team that will have a chance to make Jets fans proud again.
And perhaps there will one day be more than the few hearty souls who braved the rain at MetLife Stadium on Sunday to cheer their 3-9 Jets and the revival that Glenn is confident he will be delivering.
