Netflix’s ‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning’ Trailer Shows The Final Days Before Diddy’s Arrest: “The Dirtiest Of Dirty Business”
Netflix has released a new look at the four-part documentary chronicling the final days before Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ arrest.
Sean Combs: The Reckoning, from director Alexandria Stapleton and executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, features “intimate footage” of Combs in the final six days before he was arrested and indicted sex trafficking and racketeering charges. The former rapper and mogul has since been found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and is currently serving time in federal prison.
The trailer, which can be seen at the top of this page, shows Combs taking phone calls as he faces federal investigation. “We need to find someone who will work with us who has worked in the dirtiest of dirty businesses. We are losing,” he tells someone during a private phone call.
At another point in the trailer, the rapper says, “Everything in life you are going to have people that are bad and people that are good. You have to choose your side.”
The footage, which was taken with Combs’ knowledge, came from a “confidential” source, Stapleton said.
“It came to us. We moved heaven and earth to keep the filmmaker’s identity confidential. One thing about Sean Combs is that he’s always filming himself, and it’s been an obsession throughout the decades,” she told Netflix’s Tudum.
The documentary also features interviews with several of Combs’ former employees and colleagues, including Making the Band contestant and Danity Kane member Aubrey O’Day; Kirk Burrowes, co-founder of Bad Boy Entertainment; Clayton Howard, a former sex worker allegedly employed by Combs, and more.
